Ana is a veterinarian and Postdoc Research Associate in the Livestock and One Health department, specializing in infectious diseases affecting both domestic and wild animals. Currently, she is investigating host-pathogen interactions in bovine digital dermatitis, a critical issue in livestock health. She holds both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Veterinary Science from the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, where she focused her doctoral work on the serological, histopathological, and molecular diagnosis of pathogens like Toxoplasma gondii, Neospora caninum, and Sarcocystis spp. in wild birds. Her research interests lie in a multidisciplinary approach that includes infectious diseases, host-pathogen interactions, tissue culture, molecular methods and one health.
